We went for Canopy Walk at Botanical Garden in the morning but upon reach there we found out that the Canopy Walk was closed due to "upgrading work" by JKR. We climbed up the hill anyway and boy, was the hill steep! The road are winding and it's so steep that every step you take is probably equivalent to 10 steps you take on normal flat land. It's probably 35 degrees steep i think.
It's so steep that when you successfully climb up, you have to walk in reverse manner to avoid hurting your knees. I kid you not!
This is how i looked like half way up the hill. Probably only a fifth up the hill-.-"
The monk behind us was walking backward down the hill-.-"
But this girl, this girl was actually
RUNNING up the hill!
*faint*Most of the time she can't really run because she had to wait for me, who was literally crawling then...*sobs malu-nya*
here she was at the FIRST rest stop waiting for me to crawl there-.-"Needless to say, i somehow managed to crawled to the first rest stop and survive. And that's the end of me. Later i found out that i have only walked less than 1.5km WTH???? my legs certainly felt like i have run a 7km marathon (i have run 7km marathon before and survive ok!)
Luckily i don't have to rolled down the hill back because there's a jeep that fetch walkers that are tired
have no time/chance to train stamina like me down the hill. Thank goodness!
Interesting Thing #3The panoramic view from Fort Cornwallis Lighthouse was magnificent. It was dub
The Penang Lighthouse to many.
bro at the peak of the lighthouse enjoying the view (bout 14metres tall i think) But here i was, at the ground, waiting under the shades because i was wearing a skirt.
down -.-! Well, you can still climb up the narrow stairs if you don't mind that everyone at the bottom know the colour of your panties!
Interesting Thing #4Here's the history of Penang that i shall gladly enlighten all of you. I know how some of you felt about history but no worries, i shall k.i.s.s. plus pictures for easier understanding.
Ehem, here we go...
Long long time ago, we all know that Francis Light founded Penang. However, not all people are happy about it. There's one particular boy, decided he should put a stop to it.
Boy: Eh, you British guy, you don't simply come and rule people ok? I kill you then you know! You don't thing you got "lampu" then i scared of you ok? Bang! and Francis Light was history.
However, the story not yet end! One particular pirate come into the picture.
Pirate: Eh, boy! How dare you? How dare you kill 'lampu' before me???
Boy: Errr, pirate kor kor, who call you so late? Careful your gun ok, don't simply aim...Of course, this version of history will never make it into the history book because it is simply too interesting blek;p
Interesting Thing #5
You guys have been to Khoo Kongsi and Cheah Kongsi right? BUT have you been to
LIM Kongsi?
Yes, there is a Lim Kongsi, unknown to all along with several other smaller and less commercialized Kongsi.
The Lim's sibling at Lim Kongsi
Next trip, I will go to Lee Kongsi for sure! It is situated somewhere near Burma Road i heard.
Interesting Thing #6There's a Beryl's Chocolate Boutique situated along Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion that is a must-visit for all chocolate lovers out there. Apparently, they gave out free chocolate sampling to visitors and a tour inside the boutique.
stick this sticker on your sleeve as it is the passport to free chocolate sampling This chocolate boutique is interesting because the chocolate sold there is not available elsewhere. Despite Beryl's chocolate is a Malaysian product, however, due to some unknown reason, those rare and wonderful chocolates are only sold in that sole boutique.
And since our tour guide was so wonderful, we didn't left empty handed. We bought a box of chocolate with real mango fruit filling. Yummy~~~
Chocolate with real mango fruit filling with no added preservative One box got 9 big chunks of chocolates which cost RM30
We got 10% discount though ;)
Interesting Thing #7 My first time eating "shark fin" bao at a dim sum restaurant. Interesting. RM5 a plate of TWO small baoz.

The modest stall was operated by a mute uncle. The laksa was simply delicious and makes you yearn for more. The soup was generously filled with fish stock thingy and the best part? It only cost RM2.30 for a small bowl and RM2.80 for a big bowl.
