Weather Today

Hello everbody! Today's topic is - Weather.

Lately the weather in Klang Valley is so unpredictable. Normally, when it is close to Chinese New Year, the weather would be hot and sunny all day long. But, right now the weather is gloomy and and the sky constantly threatened to pour.

Not only are the clothes on the line not drying properly, rainy day makes the traffic congestion highly unbearable as well. Gloomy grey sky makes your spirit down as well.

Let me share with you the epitome story of unpredictable weather that I have just recently experience it for myself.

Sit back, grab a cup and enjoy. . .

This afternoon, my colleague and I went to SS2 PJ for lunch. In the midst of luncheon, it rained.

Fine.

We waited until the rain stopped and once it did, we quickly foot the bill with every intention to walk to our car which was parked nearby. We just managed to step out from the eatery shop and two steps later, it rained again. On us.

Not some pitter patter rain, but pouring type of rain. Imagine our comical expression as we dashed back into the shelter of the eatery shop. I'm sure we had this bewildered look on our face as we contemplate our ridiculous situation.

We were wet and I am sure we looked pretty ridiculous for all the patrons there. Seriously, this is really unexpected. It was fine and the rain had stopped..... until the moment we step out from the shop then the sky suddenly pouring rain again without any warning.

Then, less then 3 minutes later, the rain practically stop again. Like, is this a prank or something? Did we just got wet for nothing?

The employees there are symphathetic with our plight and they offer us umbrella. So sweet of them. Despite their food is just so-so, but their service is definitely worth 5 star!

So here you go. My story of the unpredictable weather. I'm sure at this moment I am more than qualified to talk on this subject

Retail Therapy

There's this weird habit of mine that I never given it a thought until yesterday. You see, everytime I went out shopping and buy new clothes, I don't immediately wash it and wear it, like the next day.

In fact, what I normally do is I'll put the shopping bag/plastic with the purchase (tag intact) aside at some corner in my room. Until when I feel like it, then I'll search for it and wash it before wearing it.

This is customary for me to wash all my new clothes (lingeries especially) prior to wearing. I find it more hygienic this way. Who knows how many people had tried on the shirts that I just bought?

I think this started eversince I read a forward mail that claims a lady's boob was infested with weird unknown "worm" that were gross to the max!!!!! I do not know whether the photos were real or doctored, but a close up photos of the "infested area" was so gross that the image haunted me for nights.

I don't think I really forgotten about it. Thank God the image is hazy in my mind now or I'll shudder each time I involuntarily think of it. I'm having goosebumps now as I type.

Okay, so back to my problems at hand.

I never once thought that I will have any problem with my little habit as I can always keep track of my purchases. I know what I pay my hard earned money for. I definitely do, don't I?

Apparently, I do forget over time. Must be the age factor. Really, what else can it be? It can't be that I bought too much! Nonsense! There's no such thing as too much. Ho Ho! I am a sensible shopper who buys necessary stuff only.

I do think before I buy okay? i don't indulge in buying like a headless chicken okay???? I consider myself as a sensible shopper *weeee*

So anyway, as yesterday I take out part of my purchase for washing, I realized that there are some "items" which I have conveniently forgot I actually bought! In fact prior to this I was still lamenting that I do not have enough long sleeves shirts for my trip abroad. I have "calculated" wrongly.

Suddenly, my collection of long sleeves shirts are sufficient. You see, I almost never wear any long sleeves shirts save for school uniform or formal business attire. I always thought I looked gawdy in long sleeves therefore I never bother about it. After all, Malaysia is warm enough not to wear long sleeves anyway.

Many years ago, I bought a long sleeves black shirt once as I was going to Genting at night with friends. I looked horrible in it. Suffice to say, I never wore long sleeves shirt anymore.

Let's hope as the years gone by, I will look relatively decent in long sleeves shirts now. Eversince I started watching Korean dramas again, I was mesmerised by the actresses' attire which were mostly long sleeves since Korea is pretty cold.

To be truthful, this year my goal is to change my image. My current admired image persona is Jang Nara in "Wedding" drama. I wanna be as cute and dress as well as she ^^v

News for New Year 2011

My first entry for 2011 !! weeeeeee!!!!!!!!

How's life so far? Oh well, for me work has started to pile in. It's just a matter of time before I'm drowned with works. Haha well, I guess I could have either speed up my work or put in more hours. Hmm, I guess that does not leave me much time to blog or FB anymore...

Today was like a mad circus day for me. Too much information to digest and too much things to do in such a short time. God! I don't think 24 hours is enough for me!

Suddenly I'm thrown off feet by an ex-colleague that says I need to register as an income tax payer. Though I remembered my friend's mom once said that my salary has not reached the line where I need to pay tax. However, I am in uncertainties now.

Gosh! How difficult can life be?

Not only that, I just found out today that PTPTN attempt to change the rates from 3% to 1% is typically a scam.

No, NOT that it does not do that, it does. However there are some very fine prints that many people might overlooked. And THESE fine prints are deadly. Trust me.

It goes something like this " If you want to enjoy the interest rate of 1%, then kindly forfeit your right of going abroad. IF you insist of going abroad, say for whatever reason study/work/holiday, you are required to inform, read APPLY for permission from PTPTN first. THREE MONTHS BEFORE YOUR INTENDED DEPARTURE DATE.

Of course there is exception. To avoid abovesaid hassle, you may opt to settle the loans in FULL. Then you are a free man.

Duh! Like, if I had that lump sum of money, why would I borrow from PTPTN in the first place?

So in conclusion is, to enjoy 1% interest rate, there will no longer be any inpromptu trip to Thailand/Singapore/Bali or any part of the world for the matter. Everything needs to be planned AT LEAST 3 months ahead.

Oh, with the speed of our g*vt workers, better make it 6 months in advance just in case. I'm sure you do not want to be detained by the Immigration Office prior to your departure right?

I think, this is their way of tying people down to avoid those who did not pay back the loan. By joining force with the Immigration Dept.

Hey! but don't you think this is a little unfair for those who paid diligently?

A penny for the thought. . .
