Show me...Burlesque!

Surprise!

I watched Burlesque^^ In the cinema no less...

Never thought I would actually pay money and watch this movie in cinema but nonetheless that's what I did. I mean, no offense here, but, what do you expect when the main casts are Cher and Christina Aguilera?

Well, to me, not much. In fact I watched Burlesque simply because it's the only show that has bean seats in TGV. So yeah, it's a choice born out of no choice.

However, 15 minutes into the movie, I actually think "hey, this is actually not bad!"

Serious! I never see X-Tina in those light before. I almost couldn't recognise her at all. In her character, Ali, she's this bubbly country girl trying to makes end meet in L.A. So totally not like the cool X-Tina that we all know.

And Cher. In her character Tess, she's the owner of Burlesque Club who's a drinker, never-took-life-seriously-girl-that-cry-at-the-drop-of-a-hat woman.

Phew! What a combination you say?

The storyline though is nothing to be shout of. It's rather mediocre actually but the acting, singing and dancing by all the cast members nonetheless make up for the bland storyline. The costumes are quite eye catching as well. Really, really, sexy, purrr...

The story is pretty revolving around Ali (X-Tina) a small town girl trying to make it big in the entertainment industry, stumbled upon Burlesque Club. She was mesmerized with what she saw and she decided that she wants to be part of Burlesque.

The story goes on to show how Tess who initially opposed Ali to join her club, later on relented as she sees raw talent in her. What movie can be complete without a male hunk to make all us girls go ga-ga over?

Introducing Cam Gigandet, as the male lead in this movie, Jack the bartender. Gorgeous hunk.

I'm sure all ladies out there are salivating watching him in his birthday suit. Damn, he's got a HAWT body there.

In case you are wondering who is Cam Gigandet, he acted as James the vampire tracker in Twilight. He was a gorgeous hunk then too^^ *drool*

So go on and watch this movie if you want a light entertaining show. If you are the sort that liked Moulin Rouge (Nicole Kidman) you are sure mesmerized by Burlesque. All the singing and dancing choreography was fantastic. Thumbs up for X-Tina and the Burlesque's girls.

Don't just take my word for it. Judge it yourself.

"Show me how you Burlesque"

omo omo...dasi? wae?

I have exactly one month and counting before D-day arrives. Of course I am very excited and totally can't wait for the day to arrive. Nothing can stop me now^^

However, despite that, my mood is slightly dampened by some offhand remarks from friends or relatives alike. I can understand that why older generation uncles aunties don't understand nor agree with me. But people my age? Why they don't understand me either? Why? There's no generation gap already, so why the remarks?

Seriously, to this day I receives lots of remarks that sounded very ignorant. Frankly speaking, why are there such ignorant people around? Naturally, they don't mean it in an evil way yada yada yada....but still...it's a party pooper ya'know?

Despite me saying I will not be bothered by those ignorant fools, but I am slightly pissed off. Not that I should care, but still, can't say I like it.

Seriously guys, if you have nothing nice to say, might as well don't even say anything right? Just close your big mouth shut and world peace~

p/s: a quick korean tutorial for ya! Dasi=again, Wae=why
