Sushi again

Haha i had sushi like, again!

This time i go to Sakae Sushi in Aeon Jusco Bukit Tinggi Klang!

My first time again in Sakae Sushi. haha so happy. Had sushi twice in a week can you believed it?

NO, i have not won lottery and YES i am still as broke as ever.

Well you see, i went to Sushi King because i have the cash voucher. I went to Sakae Sushi is because one boss very adamant wanted to eat "something good" that particular day and then someone mentioned that they had Sakae Sushi the night before and ting! Sakae Sushi it is.

Boss is ever the generous as he graciously sponsored half of the amount stated in the bill at the end.

Thank Qiuuuuuuu boss ^.^v

Anyway back to Sakae Sushi, I just love it. Love it! Love it! Lurrrrve it! The ambiance and atmosphere setting was just right. The lighting was soothing and everything was going according to system and computerized.

Unlike Sushi King where you have to order manually, in Sakae Sushi, you ordered through computer. Each table around the conveyor belt was provided a flat screen monitor and a mouse. So you can order anything on the menu with just a click away. They even provide the billing (exclude those dishes that you grab from the conveyor belt that's it).

In terms of choices, Sakae Sushi has more varieties to choose from and the prices are quite reasonable too. They have more creativities in food presentation and yet did not neglect the quality as well. The sushi taste really really good.

On the scale of 1 to 10, i'll give it 8 though. If the prices could be reduced a little more, then more poor students like me can go and enjoy great sushi. But then, i doubt that's gonna happen anytime soon. But one can wish, can't we?

Here are some of the pictures taken before my camera's battery dried up. Forgot to charge it beforehand, dang!

nice ambiance hor??? canggih...

Snoopy promoting sushi haha

our fav: Unagi

Inari (tuna mayo filling)

sake sushi (salmon duh!)

OK OK enough of food because I know I'm making you guys hungry haha...

busy with menu also got time to pose haha

The eight of us there were all small eaters. What do you mean you don't believe me??? Here's the proof ok?!

see, i told you we were all small eaters

Suddenly, i am so in love with Japs food now.

Sushi, I heart you!!!!

sushi sushi

Haha i went to Sushi King on saturday! Yayyy!!!!!!!

Courtesy of softskill campaign, everyone got a RM5 Cash Voucher yippie!!! Haha oklar i know it's not a big sum but heck, it gives me a reason, or rather, an excuse to go dine at Sushi King heehee *wink*

To be honest, i have never been to Sushi King before.

Yayaya i know i know i'm like the last specimen on earth that have never tried Sushi King before fine fine i gedit i gedit ok? -.-"

I wasn't really into Japs (Japanese) food back then...Abit skeptical to try whatnot with the raw ingredients and unique ingredients which they serve as food. I mean, like eel??? fish roe??? raw fish????? eeeewww gross!!!

THAT was then. Now i totally LOVE IT!!!!! Now whenever i eat sushi, Unagi (eel) is a must! So is Ebikko (fish roe), Inari (sweet beancurd), Tamago (egg omelette), Temaki (California Roll/Hand Roll), *dreamily* Oh i can just go on and on and on....

As in raw salmon, well that i have still yet to master it teehee!

Alright, here are some of the pictures taken to make you salivate.

Itadakimasu!!!!

bro surveying the conveyor belt

chuka-kurage (seasoned jellyfish)

sake-mayo (salmon mayonnaise)

egg-mayo

chigiri age (deep fried fish cakes)

Irresistable Inari

hahaha our very own sushi set

Tamago (egg omelette)

Sake-mayo maki (salmon mayonnaise)

Unagi

Hahaha feeling hungry now??? Suddenly your saliva gland is working tremendously???? Have a sushi pang??? Feels like eating sushi out of a sudden????? hehehehehe

I went to Midvalley Megamall's Sushi King, the one at the top floor in the middle ring. Seriously, i think that outlet need some touch lor. As in refurbishing touch.

The seatings there shows worn and tear, it practically cries out "please let me go, don't torture me any longer".

The leather seatings there were crack and torn, its downright ugly! Imagine a girl wearing ultra short skirt, seat at torn leather seats. Eeuuwww!

So i think the management there should do something about it soon.

As for varieties, well it's okay i supposed. Just sufficient but not something you'll say "Geez, I'm spoil with all this choices". Not too many choices available there. Especially the sushi on the conveyor belt, it's forever the same and repetitive one too often.

Service wise, Just okay. Not too bad, but there's room for improvement.

Sushi wise, oklar.

I'll rate it 5 out of 10.

Somehow, it just doesn't give me the feeling or the oomph that says "oh, I'm so gonna dine at Sushi King again soon".

So, well, i guess it was below my expectation. After all, Sushi King is like so popular and all.....well maybe they should do something about it. There's a lot of other great Japs restaurants around too you know...

Repulsive human nature

I went to Watson's Warehouse Sales at South City Plaza with Snoopy and bro. It's quite disappointing actually. I thought it is going to be a great bargain of which i have had heard so much of.

Prior to this, i have been to a few warehouse sales especially those near my uni in PJ. Most often than not, i enjoyed it and i've managed to get myself plenty of stuffs at ridiculously low prices compared to the market price. And i left as a happy girl. Most of the time.

Who don't like sales and discounts??? Who don't like to pay less but get more??? Well i do. Most warehouse sales i've been to were quite systematic and the people there were quite nice and understanding. BUT it's not the same in this case.

1) There's not many things sold (as in varieties). I practically only saw mountains of disposable men's brief, variety of colours and sizes combs, and deodorants of different sorts of brands, and some un-branded lippies.

2) The stuffs were all quite dirty and unappetizing. You'll feel like looking for the nearest washroom to wash your hand once you've touch the stuff there.

3) the patrons there.

Left with nothing to buy that's worthy of lining up and waiting in the queue for at least 30minutes, we started to observe the whole place, the people and the situation.

It is unspeakable.

It is THAT appalling!

The floor was dirty, and quite a few products was thrown scattered on the floor where people accidentally stepped on it, kicked it or plain ignored it. Some gooey stuff (suspecting shampoo) was found sticking on the floor and other's unknowing shoes that accidentally stepped onto it.

AND the people. The people was the worst of all!

warehouse sales = dirt cheap price
warehouse sales = horrible attitude????

The patrons there were mostly made up of aunties, "see lai" (housewives in cantonese) and girls from all ages with their bf/hubby walking in their footsteps. SOME women, are just downright embarrassing. They spoke ever so loudly, push around others and even grabbed things like 'mama bear'.

Apparently it seems that every half hour or so there will be new items throw out into the selling bins. So every now and then, there might be new items available. So what this women do, they just hogged the bins with all their friends and relatives waiting there in order to be the first to dig.

Some even go to the extend of calling the Indian staff who was in the midst of sorting out the goods to give out stuffs earlier or just for them. They called him "ah-ne". RUDE aren't they??? One woman even throw and empty box to him for him to fill up (which he ignores). I really thinks that she was so unreasonable and rude. Bad example for her children that was around to witness all this.

Worse still, some women even go to the extend of ruining things which she don't want. There's this woman, who cleaned her goods (i've mentioned earlier that most of the goods there were unexplainable dirty) with a soft toy!!!

Those soft toys were clearly meant for sale!!! Some people might find it cheap and cute and decided to buy it. But this woman, go and use that soft toy and clean her hand and also her goods!!! After she finished, she just throw back that now dirtied soft toy back into the selling bin.

Can you believe it???? She looked quite elegant and educated mind you. Those who were not highly educated i still can keep one eye close, but this is just so unbelievable!

People can be so inconsiderate at times. Bordering on evil and nasty too.

I mean, if you don't want it, at least don't go and ruin it la, just because this is a warehouse sales, doesn't mean you can do what you want right?

At this point, we cannot stomached it anymore, and we left empty handed. But we felt that we are much richer in the sense that we did not stooped down to their low level.

From here, we have learned that human evil nature will come out when money is involved. And trust me, it can be very dark and repulsive.

No photos were taken because it was just too repulsive and i don't have the heart to do it.

Campaign

I've attended a mock campaign done by seniors at uni today. Actually, we were all forced to attend as attendance will be taken and no one want to cross "her". Trust me, you wouldn't want to be lectured the same thing all over again for at least half an hour per session. Each session, the contents are almost the same anyway.

Suffice to say, it will be far more easier, not to mention painless to attend the event then die under her merciless laser gun. Moreover, there's goodies bag for all! Don't we all just love goodies? The thrill of wondering what's contain inside the goodies bag?

Plus there's lucky draw with attractive prizes to be won! I mean, come on, you don't have to pay for anything, just sit your butt there for a couple of hours, light refreshment is served, getting goodies for free, prizes to be won, what else can you ask for?

You weren't left starving or thirsty, there's performances to entertain you, games for you to kill time, it wasn't that bad right? Well, of course, you need to donate some of your time to them la... no pain no gain ma ;p

Overall, i think they did the best they can. Of course, there's some flaws, but aren't we people usually judge others more critically but lesser towards our own? To me, at least they did their best then it is good enough. By now, they can all heave a sigh of relieve as its all over. No more nightmares as they can have peaceful sleep from now on. Until their final exam thats it. It IS their final semester anyway! After this challenging semester, they will all graduate with a degree in PR, ain't that great???

On the other hand, my group's campaign is due next month. I wonder how would it be then? Would everyone show their support just like what they did today?

I sincerely prayed that all would turn up well. With all the money and effort everyone chipped in, it gotta turn out well!!!

It MUST!!!

My new camera

Haha i've bought a new camera!

Tadaa!!!!!!

Sakura Pink

It's new and it's pink! Ain't that great???

My dear also bought one just like mine, but his is silver in colour.

Nikon Coolpix

Hehehe you would be surprised at the amount we pay for these babies....

All that i can say is, it's really really worth it and we are very happy with it!!

No regrets!

I totally think that we are smart consumers hahahahahaha;p

p/s: the photos are taken and cropped from the Nikon Coolpix website.

The photos that i took somehow just doesn't do the camera colour's justice
hurmph..

Its all about the money

money money money money~~~ money~!

Suddenly this jingle is stuck in my mind. I found myself keep repeating Donald Trump's "The Apprentice" show jingle. Sounds familiar? Hahaha now does this jingle stuck in your mind too?;p

And i remember many years ago, one particular Malaysian hop-hop/rapper band also sang a similar song which the chorus part goes something like this -

my my my my
what makes the world go
high high high high
every women wanna
buy buy buy buy
it's all about the monay monay monay~~

I forgot the name of it so i did some googling and voila~ the song is 'monay monay' by Poetic Ammo ft Reefa.

I remembered growing up listening to Hitz.FM (then just HitzFM) and Poetic Ammo was really hawt back then. I lurve their songs! Oh did i mentioned Poetic Ammo is local?

Anyway that was like ages ago and it's beside the point.

What i actually wanted to say is that money is practically everything now. Everywhere we go and everything we do requires money. Money is very, very essential. Money helps in one way and also many many other ways that allow us to lead a better life if you know what i mean *wink*

Just today at my campaign meeting this afternoon, the whole meeting practically revolves around the issue of budget, cost, sponsorships which simply spell, m.o.n.e.y !!

Money is so important to us that we go to the extend of measuring whether the money is coming out from our own pocket or we dig it in someone else's pocket. And of course, the latter is less painful haha;p

Money is the root of all evil, or SO they say. True. But then,

as one old Chinese saying goes, "money is not everything, but without money, there's nothing".

Agree?

His-Story

Haizzzzzzzzz. . . . . . . . . .

Im back to learning history. Again! If there's any subject drier than this, i can't think of. History. His-story. whatever!

Generally im not someone who finds history repulsive. However, history of PR? Well, i just can't seems to understand it. Hopefully as i read more i'll understand it better. I have to understand it because it's coming out in quiz. Quiz 1 will be on next week itself. Bother!

history aside, i'm glad that today i've made the right decision. Even though some may think its wrong, but hey, as if they can do better like that. Usually also all talks but no action de la... Always act as though they are so goody-goody, but in actual fact, who knows?

Tonight i don't have any homework so i guess i can play some games and watch a few episodes of Bleach hehe;p

Of course, i will still read up on my PR history as well ;)

First day of new sem

I skipped my first class for this new semester.

I DID NOT skipped it purposely nor intentionally, but it just so happened i ter-skip it. It was unconsciously done.

Last friday i went back to uni (yes it's still holz n i was actually back at uni before lecture starts-_-) and i copied the timetable for this new sem. Oh well, you ask why we need to copied down the timetable?

Because my uni is not so high-tech lor, like some uni that i've known of which will send the personal timetable to each of the students lor. At my uni, YOU have to go and COPY down your own timetable.

So, if no one from your tutorial class copied it prior to the 1st day of class and tell you, YOU you yourself have to be at uni before 8AM and check out the timetable and copied it. Now you ask why must before 8AM? That's because to prepare in case your class actually starts at 8AM on monday itself lor. if you found out by then that your class starts at noon or there's no class on monday at all despite you being there so early, oh well, god bless you

OK now back to my case, i did copied down the timetable. But on my timetable, i only saw there's one tutorial on monday, which is 2:00-3:30pm. I did not, however, see that there's a class before this; at 10:00am-12:00pm. I only knew of it at 11:45am, when Mary called me and say, " what happened to you?" kuakuakua~

So this is how i ended up skipping one class; the first class at the start of a new semester. Herr herr herr. . . . . . talk of what a bubble headed i am. I'm totally a blur case. Probably gone case as well...

As i know, this is not the first time it happened to me. I remembered vaguely that this same scenario had happened before... I'm not sure of which sem, but i think i had missed out some classes at the begining of the semester before of slip ups just like this.

Talk of deja vu!

Hahahaha i even remembered once, i almost missed out my final exam as well! I made a muck out of my examination timetable thinking that supposed paper is in the afternoon and i happily went to a reunion party the night before but the paper is actually in the morning! Luckily Venny smsed me and corrected me. Or else, errr let's not divulge into the pass anymore.

But then, nontheless, i did not do very well for that particular paper as you might have guessed.

OK so i have skipped classes at the begining of a new sem. Big deal! It's only like the first introductory kind of lecture right? No big deal isn't it??? Herr herr herr....

What a way to smart my new sem!

Back to Uni

Gosh i cant believe that three weeks had passed just like that!

Three weeks of my semester break.

Three weeks of supposed holidays. . . . . now it's all over. Gone.

Boy, time really flew fast. Tomorrow i have to start go to uni again. It's back to uni life again. In fact, this time it's a short semester thus everything will be speed up and and i am back, caught in the life of racing with time like a mad girl again.

The time to lose precious slumber time is here again. The time to wake up early at the ungodly hour at 6AM is here again. The time to stuck forever in the traffic jam is also back again.

Sigh.....uni life.........my uni life!

Time is really too short! I really wished time won't move so fast lor. If only the hand of time will move slower. . . . . . . . . . . . rotate slower. . . . . . spin slower. . . . . ain't that'll be great??

Oh man! i still have tons of hong kong drama series stacked at home not yet watch ler (and it keeps accumulating overtime)......and my even higher piles of animes untouched yet (i've long stopped the incoming animes since) plus not to mention my new found hobbies (hehehe play online games and ehem! honing my culinary art)

Time is just too short!!!! I haven't even finished watching 'Bleach' yet (in case you don't know, Bleach is a famous anime about death god a.k.a shinigami duh!)... I have got like, nearly 40 more episodes to go not inclusive of the new ones adding in every week!!!

I need more time~~~~~~~~

Result's out...for real

My result was out today. My result for last sem's exam. My result for Year 3 Sem 1. My result in committing suicide soon.

Bwawawawa!!!! I hate exams!!! Why do we have to be graded by exam score of our intelligence? Which stupid idiot decided one day that those who can memorized the whole bloody text book and vomit it out during the exam paper word by word is the "smart" people????? Tell me who? who?? WHO????

Those who's brain capacity is slightly more limited like me are the "stupid" people la now??? Eh not fair lor!!! Everyone is born with different brain de ma...Some use left hemisphere more some use right hemisphere...Gimme a break ok??!!!! This is so unfair *sobs*

I never thought i'll did this badly. At least not this bad. This is beyond bad. This is worst! Im so gonna die now.

I should have spend more effort for the papers...I should have read more...I should have!!! I should have!!! Now i cant help but think "what if"??? sigh!

And no! I'm not gonna tell you my result so you can forget about it! You may be laughing and gloating like nobody's business now but i don't care.

Go on.

Laugh all you want.

Gloat all you might.

I don't care.

I just wanna disappear and hide from this cruel world that judge people by their exam result's score.

Bwawawawawa leave me to my tears *crying pitifully*

Penang: Day 4

Everyone slept til very late and by the time we packed and ready to go it was already pass ten in the morning.

We went to eat breakfast at Pasar Air Hitam (or Ayer Itam, whichever la) for Laksa!! (Assam Laksa in Klang)

In Penang, apparently there's this tradition. See that fried popiah over there? Dip it into laksa and eat it! Haha unique isn't it? But it sure taste nice though. We ordered another plate of popiah after that. We are fast learner huh?

Look how happy everyone is?

We went to Penang Hill/Bukit Bendera again we find that the gate is partially open. We were ecstatic until the counter lady told us that it is still under renovation and that the cable car only go up to half hill. Sien! The sun was so hot (first time we feel the Penang real weather; hot, in the four days we are there) we can barely open our eyes so we didn't even take much photos.

Last pit stop for this Penang trip: Ghee Hiang Biscuit Shop
It's one of the more popular shop that sell Penang's famous "Tao Sa Piah" and have the stamp of approval from "Ho Chak" It's famous for it's baby mascot.

Snoopy says it's very commercialized but he says all "tao sa piah" generally tasted the same so he usually bought from a shop name "Beng Heong" in New Lane because the price is good and taste good as well. But since Rae purchased not enough at Beng Heong, so we went to Ghee Heang for a change lor ;)

Haha cute ler???

our last group photo for the day.

As we were heading back Klang, there's this conversation in car;

Roy: i think hor we should eat dinner before going back Klang la.
Ray: ya sure. erm...what about we stop at Ipoh for dinner? Ipoh "Nga Choi Gai"?
Win: eh can can. i know how to go there don't worry.
Me: Eh sounds good ma. I long time din go eat d ler.... come come we should!
Bro: Okla i anything wan!

So the next thing we know, we are heading to Ipoh d..

My favorite shop, Ong Kee. I dubbed it "the white shop" because i constantly forget the shop name.

look at the queues...scary huh? it's only slightly pass 6pm ler...so many people waiting for seats d...

Look at the uncle, his hand didn't stop chopping the chickens ler....so busy...business so good.

I don't go to the other shop opposite Ong Kee because that is the more commercialized shop and i find the chickens there more raw and i can see the red red blood at the bones there...eeuwww gross!! I don't find it nice anyway...Commercialize not necessarily means better ok? i dubbed that shop "the yellow shop" because the shop name plate is yellow haha....

haha normally in Klang hor, the chicken rice stalls' chickens are hook and hang at their stall. But at Ong Kee, business are so very the good that they do not have time to hang it. Instead, they put it into a pail on the floor. And those chickens are gone in a couple of minutes. Fast ler?

we ordered 1/2 chicken, tauge, 4 hor fun, 2 chicken rices for 5 people

look at our happy face you'll know how delicious the food is...yummy~~

all the food is gone within 30minutes. And we are all smiling, satisfied.

We went into a shop that sells many snacks and tidbits. It is like a heaven for kids. It sells everything that a kid would like and it brings back poignant memories of our childhood when we see snacks and junks that we used to consumed in large amount when we were a kid.

Arrrrr......the good ol' days when we don't have to cope with stress and assignments....

look what we found?

1) "white milk Rocky" ler....all this while i thought Rocky only come in Dark Chocolate and Strawberry flavour...

2) 2-coloured Choki-choki! I thought Choki-choki only come in Dark Chocolate lor (although i'm not a big fan of Choki-choki from young til now) but this Choki-choki come in half white chocolate and half dark chocolate. Interesting eh?

And that's all for this trip to Penang. Would love to visit Penang again because there's still many places to be see and even more foods to be eaten yet.

P/S: Haha if you need any direction to any of the places mention, feel free to ask me, i can asked Snoopy for you ;) of course, you can always ask him yourself la, there's no stopping you don't worry ^.^v

Penang: Day 3

Day 3: Flood!

All of us wake up groggily and realised that our area was flooded. The whole stretch of road was flooded and we cannot drive out.

We are so stuck in out apartment. Doomed!

taken outside our window. Luckily our apartment compound was not flooded. Just the main road outsite.

We searched the whole place and to our horror, the house was not stocked with Maggi Mees!!! Die lor, stuck in flood and there's no food for the five of us... Oh NO! This is bad. Really bad.

I kept smsed Snoopy not to come because the road was flooded but hor he didn't reply me lor...i was so worried that he will force his way through and spoil his car...

see that arrow? that's Bomba Bot Penyelamat lor. See how dramatic the situation was?

40 minutes later...

Ding dong ding dong!

We were all wondering who's that when i went and open the door.

Surprise!!!!!!!

Standing in front of me is a wet Snoopy holding an umbrella in one hand and another two very big heavy plastic bags in another.

Snoopy brings food! He tapao breakfast for us! Yayy!!!!! We will not die of starvation afterall. Wahhhh Snoopy is like our savior...That moment is like so dramatic la....All of us were so happy to see him and relieved that we have food even though we were stranded in our apartment.

This is what Snoopy brings for us. A lot hor? Stranded in flood also got Hokkien Mee (Prawn Mee in Klang) for breakfast yay!!!

Snoopy: Our savior! He carry all those heavy foods and walked in from some construction site to minimized passing the flood area to deliver to us lor...See, how sweet of him? Because of this, his finger was numb and lost sensory feeling for a few days. Luckily now his fingers are ok d now thank God...

my bro was happily playing with his new toy amidst the flood

Once we see the flood water subside a little bit, all of us faster run away and we headed to Swatow Lane for lunch. Our lunch is at New World Park. The fact that all of us are starving, it did not occur to us to stop and take photos. Gomen!!! But the food there is just as delicious as i remembered it. Fantastic!

After lunch, we went to...

Khoo Kongsi

Khoo Kongsi (Khoo Clan House) main building

me and my dark knight^.^

very Justice Bao thingy, isn't?

some fascinating drawing on the wall...insert is the sticker that you need to stick on in order to visit Khoo Kongsi

see how big this Khoo clan is...

group photo

Hahahaha our professional photographer and his....umbrella boy?!

Next we go to,

Cheah Kongsi

see the red banner behind me? that's the banner that says the building is under UNESCO World Heritage Site. Khoo Kongsi has it, Cheah Kongsi has it, Ceong Fatt Tze Mansion has it and many more. So if you wanna sight seeing Penang's historical/heritage places, look out for all this red banners!

look at those good ol' "bangku"

Dinner: BBQ Steamboat
It's located at Jalan Nagore, behind Penang Plaza and it's buffet style. RM 19.00
per pax. It has two soup base, tomyam and soup. The aluminium foil area around the soup pot is for you to BBQ grill your food!

look at all those food on the table, this is only our first round ^.^v

Roy's busy putting butter to grill food

this is how it looks like once we are done eating...look at all those carbon on the aluminium foil...

ice-cream for dessert. Not only do they have ice cream for dessert, they have chocolate fondue, mix fruit cocktail, mini fruit tarts and some kuihs as well...talk about choices...

After that we went and round the Penang town for a night view. We even went to "Love Lane" but everything seems very decent so...a bit dissapointed. Perhaps "Love" needs a break too. Its Hari Raya eve so perhaps all balik kampung d haha

We went to Gurney Drive for a walk lor. The sea water is polluted with junks but the tide is high

cold cool pose!

can you guessed which is which?

That's a wrap for Day 3. No supper that night because everyone is still full from the BBQ steamboat...and we are just across the road from the famous Gurney Drive makan place...wuwu..
