News for New Year 2011

My first entry for 2011 !! weeeeeee!!!!!!!!

How's life so far? Oh well, for me work has started to pile in. It's just a matter of time before I'm drowned with works. Haha well, I guess I could have either speed up my work or put in more hours. Hmm, I guess that does not leave me much time to blog or FB anymore...

Today was like a mad circus day for me. Too much information to digest and too much things to do in such a short time. God! I don't think 24 hours is enough for me!

Suddenly I'm thrown off feet by an ex-colleague that says I need to register as an income tax payer. Though I remembered my friend's mom once said that my salary has not reached the line where I need to pay tax. However, I am in uncertainties now.

Gosh! How difficult can life be?

Not only that, I just found out today that PTPTN attempt to change the rates from 3% to 1% is typically a scam.

No, NOT that it does not do that, it does. However there are some very fine prints that many people might overlooked. And THESE fine prints are deadly. Trust me.

It goes something like this " If you want to enjoy the interest rate of 1%, then kindly forfeit your right of going abroad. IF you insist of going abroad, say for whatever reason study/work/holiday, you are required to inform, read APPLY for permission from PTPTN first. THREE MONTHS BEFORE YOUR INTENDED DEPARTURE DATE.

Of course there is exception. To avoid abovesaid hassle, you may opt to settle the loans in FULL. Then you are a free man.

Duh! Like, if I had that lump sum of money, why would I borrow from PTPTN in the first place?

So in conclusion is, to enjoy 1% interest rate, there will no longer be any inpromptu trip to Thailand/Singapore/Bali or any part of the world for the matter. Everything needs to be planned AT LEAST 3 months ahead.

Oh, with the speed of our g*vt workers, better make it 6 months in advance just in case. I'm sure you do not want to be detained by the Immigration Office prior to your departure right?

I think, this is their way of tying people down to avoid those who did not pay back the loan. By joining force with the Immigration Dept.

Hey! but don't you think this is a little unfair for those who paid diligently?

A penny for the thought. . .
